MENA Impact Women supports organisations, institutions, programmes and development partners working across the MENA region by providing tailored research, training, knowledge and engagement services.
Our services are developed around the specific objectives, target groups, geographic scope and operational needs of each partner. We can adapt existing methodologies and programme models or design dedicated activities, from regional data collection and applied research to customised training, publications, webinars and in-country events.
While women’s empowerment is at the core of our mission, we approach it as an integral part of broader social, economic and development processes. The challenges and opportunities affecting women are deeply connected to labour markets, education, digital transformation, institutions, communities and wider social dynamics. For this reason, our services are not limited to women-specific issues or audiences: they can address broader development priorities and engage the different actors whose participation is relevant to understanding challenges, generating evidence and advancing sustainable change.
MENA Impact Women works with external organisations to design and deliver these services according to their specific objectives, target groups and regional priorities.
Regional Data Collection & Surveys
We support organisations that need direct, context-sensitive information from MENA countries by designing and implementing surveys and other forms of primary data collection tailored to their research, programme or institutional objectives.
Depending on the assignment, we can explore social, economic, professional, technological and development issues; define target groups and geographic coverage; and adapt questions and data-collection approaches to different national and local contexts. Our work can help partners understand needs, perceptions, barriers, opportunities and lived realities directly from the people and communities concerned.
Our first regional survey, launched in April 2026, examines how economic pressures, conflict, digital transformation and changing access to opportunities affect women across the region. It covers areas including employment, income stability, digital access, use of artificial intelligence, mobility, decision-making and wider social and economic pressures.

Customised Training & Capacity Building
We We design and deliver tailored training and capacity-building programmes across the MENA region on women’s empowerment and related development issues, engaging women and men where their participation is relevant to achieving meaningful and sustainable results.
Programmes can be adapted to the objectives, target groups and operational needs of partner organisations, including content, duration, intensity and delivery format. Activities may be delivered online, in person or through blended formats across different MENA countries.
Our methodology combines structured learning, mentoring, workshops, peer exchange and practical application, helping participants translate knowledge into decisions, action and implementation.
Our training experience is rooted in the MENA Academy for Women’s Empowerment in and through Media. Its first delivered training programme, the MENA Impact Women Strategic Empowerment Programme – Level 1, was implemented as a 10-week pathway combining six strategic learning modules, individual mentoring, practical workshops and final project development.

Applied Research & Analysis
We support organisations in developing applied research on issues relevant to the MENA region, from the formulation of research questions and evidence-gathering strategies to analysis, interpretation and knowledge products.
Research can be designed around specific MENA countries, populations, sectors or thematic priorities and may combine surveys, qualitative and quantitative evidence, programme data, participant-generated materials, contextual analysis and other relevant sources. The aim is to produce research that is grounded in regional realities and useful for programme design, strategic planning and institutional decision-making.
Our first research publication, MENA Women Under Pressure, uses an exploratory, multi-source approach that integrates regional survey evidence with programme-generated material to examine the gap between women’s existing skills and resources and their ability to translate them into professional direction, concrete action and economic opportunities.

Publishing & Knowledge Dissemination
We develop and disseminate articles, perspectives and knowledge products that bring regional voices and analysis into wider development conversations.
Our editorial and dissemination work can support organisations seeking to communicate research findings, highlight regional perspectives, share expert knowledge or create accessible content around specific themes. While women’s empowerment remains central to our platform, we approach it as inseparable from wider issues including employment, education, economic participation, digital transformation, culture, innovation, social change and sustainable development.
Our own editorial space, Jusooruha – Her Bridges, features articles, reflections and ideas created by girls and women from across our regional community, connecting knowledge, lived experience and perspectives across countries, cultures and professional paths.

Webinars, Dialogues & Events
We design and organise webinars, expert discussions, applied sessions and in-person events for organisations seeking to convene participants, experts and stakeholders around specific themes in the MENA region.
Formats, speakers, audiences, thematic focus and locations can be developed according to each partner’s objectives. Activities may be organised online or in person in different Arab countries and can support learning, stakeholder engagement, public dialogue, knowledge exchange and regional networking.
Through these interactions, we also help create connections among experts, practitioners, institutions, professionals and participants, strengthening networks for research, knowledge-sharing and action across the region.

Our Annual Meeting is held every year on 8 March, bringing together our community, partners and contributors. If you would like to sponsor the event, collaborate with us or participate, please get in touch.
